Session FAQ's

What is your studio setup like?

We work remotely and have professional grade microphones (DPA 4099), Logic Pro, and syncing capabilities to ensure the highest quality end product for your projects.

Will I have full commercial rights to the finished product?

Yes! You will have full commercial rights to sell your end product. You are not required to feature us on the work.

How fast is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time depends on the length of the project, but average delivery time is 7 days. We can also handle an expedited delivery for your project upon request.

Can you add strings to existing projects, or is this for all-original compositions?

Yes and yes! We can add strings to a project you’re already working on or compose a completely original arrangement as well.

Do your rates really start at just $100?

Yes, our rate for ~1min of recorded audio for a single instrument starts at just $100! The other end of the spectrum looks like ~$900 for a full quartet string section covering up to 7 minutes of recorded audio.

We can layer as many times as needed for a full orchestra effect for a small fee per line.

Our pricing is transparent, but since every project is different, we try not to advertise hard and fast numbers so that we can better service a quote for your specific project’s details.

Working with the ATLYS quartet was absolutely a pleasure. I was impressed with their talent in arrangement and performance, as well as their professionalism.

The passion and creativity they bring to their work is inspiring!

Kory KruckenbergGrammy Award Winning Sound Engineer

I am thankful for them always being open to any musical challenge I presented. They delivered absolutely beautiful work that elevated my artistic vision, with a great attitude towards revisions and feedback. They really know how to understand a composer, and how to perform music in a fresh new way.

Juan DussánFilm Composer

ATLYS is incredible to work with, and they are my go-to group for any score with strings. They are extremely expressive and sensitive to whatever musical tone I am looking to create. We have worked together remotely many times and they have always been a joy to collaborate with; dedicated, professional and, most importantly, they deliver incredible music!

Kat VokesFilm composer, songwriter, professor at NYU Steinhardt

Going into this we had quite a few pieces to record in a set time limit, so we were concerned about achieving our goals within that time constraint. [Atlys] played with great precision and more importantly to me, great feeling. The way they ended phrases together was outstanding, and yes - we finished the project on time, and even early.

About Atlys

Atlys is a classically trained, crossover string quartet known for their passionate performances and signature sound. Founded in 2016, the ensemble has reimagined what a modern string quartet can be: appearing on world-renowned stages like Red Rocks and The Gorge, earning over 10 million streams on Spotify, and performing more than 1,000 shows across the globe. As ambassadors for Shar Music and Schertler microphones, Atlys blends classical precision with cutting-edge technology, captivating audiences through both live and virtual performances.

With a collective background spanning prestigious orchestras, chamber ensembles, and collaborations with artists such as Kygo, Halsey, Chris Martin, and Björk, Atlys’s violinists Jinty McTavish and Sabrina Tabby, cellist Genevieve Tabby, and violist Rita Andrade bring unmatched versatility to their craft. Together, they curate dynamic programs, publish their own innovative arrangements, and continually push the boundaries of genre and setting. Whether on iconic stages, in intimate venues, or through remote recordings, Atlys embodies discovery, creativity, and the power of music to inspire across generations.

Education & Community Engagement

We bring our artistry and experience as a string quartet into educational spaces, inspiring students through dynamic, hands-on programs. Our goal is to spark creativity, deepen musical understanding, and equip the next generation of musicians through 4 types of educational offerings.

BOOK CLASSES

K-12 School Engagement

Who is this for?
Elementary and middle schools looking to introduce students to classical music in a fun, interactive way that builds lasting excitement.

Our engaging presentations introduce students to the string family (including its’ history, present, and future) through recognizable music, interactive elements, and rhythm education. We get students excited before we arrive and keep them inspired long after we leave!

School Orchestra Residency Days

Who is this for?
Middle and high school orchestra programs that want to deepen musicianship, inspire students, and bring new energy to their ensembles.

Our residencies place ATLYS musicians directly in student ensembles, offering side-by-side rehearsals, sectionals, and chamber music strategies that elevate playing. Students receive feedback and inspiration in real time, culminating in a collaborative concert that can feature ATLYS originals.

Chamber Music Camps

Who is this for?
Young musicians and pre-professional students seeking to refine their ensemble skills and deepen their understanding of chamber music.

We offer ensemble coaching, score study, and rehearsal strategies that focus on listening, breathing, communication, and overall group cohesion. Students benefit from masterclasses with their peers and live ATLYS performances that inspire excellence and artistic growth.

Workshops & Music Marketing

Who is this for?
High school, college, and emerging professional musicians who want to strengthen their composing skills and learn how to sustainably grow their careers.

For composers, ATLYS offers lectures on string writing, extended techniques, workshops, and professional recordings (available remotely). We also provide marketing education covering social media, email lists, Patreon, and more to grow your CEO mindset.
